This series is designed for women who are ready to take control of their digital world in a supportive\, hands-on environment. Over three sessions\, we’ll build the tech skills and confidence you need to unlock educational and employment opportunities while keeping your personal information safe. Plus\, everyone who completes two of the three workshops will walk away with a free Chromebook laptop! \nReady to become your own cybersecurity expert? In this first workshop\, we’re diving into the essentials of protecting yourself online. We’ll do real-time reviews of your actual accounts together\, showing you exactly how to lock down your privacy settings\, spot those sneaky phishing emails\, and set up your browser like a pro. By the time you leave\, you’ll have the tools and confidence to navigate the internet knowing you’ve got your back when it comes to digital safety. \nFacilitator: Dr. Caitlin Walker\, Levantatech \nBorn and raised in the Rio Grande Valley\, Dr. Caitlin C. Walker (Dr. C) has supported under-resourced communities in Texas for over a decade. In addition to founding coaching and consulting companies aimed at driving social impact\, she has held senior and executive leadership positions in civic engagement\, healthcare\, tech\, and business leadership organizations. SUMMARY:Her Healing: Survivor Support Group
DESCRIPTION:Her Healing offers group counseling for adult survivors of family violence and abuse. In this supportive space\, group members work together to process emotions\, share lived experiences\, and learn therapeutic tools for healing and moving forward. Facilitated by the counseling team at OnHealing Therapy\, topics will include safety planning\, healthy relational communication\, co-parenting tools\, and more. \nSessions will be held at the For Her community center every Thursday evening from 6:00-7:30 PM through December. This is an open group format\, and friends are welcome. We provide free on-site childcare\, snacks\, and drinks. Feel free to bring your own dinner if you’d like. \nFor Her Code of Conduct
