DESCRIPTION:For Her is excited to partner with Levantatech for the Digital Confidence Workshop Series! This series is designed for women who are ready to take control of their digital world in a supportive\, hands-on environment. Everyone who attends this workshop will walk away with a free Chromebook laptop! \nIn today’s competitive job market\, knowing how to navigate the digital landscape can make all the difference. This interactive workshop equips participants with the skills to safely find and vet job postings\, ensuring personal information is protected while exploring opportunities. Attendees will learn how to leverage digital networking tools to build authentic professional connections and increase visibility with employers. The session will also cover virtual interviewing best practices—from creating a professional online presence to communicating with confidence on camera. By the end\, participants will walk away with practical strategies to stand out\, stay secure\, and succeed in their online job search. \nFacilitator: Dr. Caitlin Walker\, Levantatech \nBorn and raised in the Rio Grande Valley\, Dr. Caitlin C. Walker (Dr. C) has supported under-resourced communities in Texas for over a decade. In addition to founding coaching and consulting companies aimed at driving social impact\, she has held senior and executive leadership positions in civic engagement\, healthcare\, tech\, and business leadership organizations. She is also the founder and president of Levántatech\, a Latina serving tech-literacy nonprofit where she promotes ensuring skilled workforces and flourishing economies. \n  \nPlease note that childcare will not be provided for this event.

SUMMARY:Her Circle: Queer Connections
DESCRIPTION:Her Circle: Queer Connections is for queer women and nonbinary folks to share a space in which they can build meaningful connections and community. Join us as we facilitate queer joy through celebrating\, supporting\, and uplifting each other. \nSessions will be held at the For Her community center every 2nd and 4th Wednesday through December. No worries if you can’t make it for every group! Friends are always welcome. Snacks and drinks are provided; feel free to bring your own dinner! Please note babysitting is not provided for this gathering. \nSave the date for future Her Circle: Queer Connections! \n\nDecember 10 – Family Dynamics and Boundaries\nNew dates for 2026 announced soon!\n\nFacilitated by Sarah Lopez & Hayley Russell \nSarah Lopez is a passionate advocate for queer women in San Antonio. After moving to the city a few years ago to embark on a career as a software engineer\, Sarah sought a strong sense of community and sisterhood. This journey led her to For Her\, a vibrant support group where connection thrives. Recognizing the need for solidarity among queer women\, Sarah took the initiative to spearhead the annual Pride events and the ongoing Queer Connections group at For Her. With a commitment to inclusivity\, Sarah aims to foster an environment where everyone feels uplifted\, seen\, and valued. Now\, as Sarah embarks on a new path by attending law school at St. Mary’s\, the goal remains the same: to empower and support the community.  \nAs a single parent for the past six years\, Hayley Russell has learned how to navigate life after leaving a decade-long abusive relationship and embracing her queer identity. During this pivotal chapter of her life\, For Her’s diverse groups gave her more than just support—they offered healing\, confidence\, and a sense of belonging she didn’t know she could find. Now\, Hayley is excited to give back by leading Queer Connections and helping others step into their own light. She is a fierce believer in the power of community\, shared stories\, and holding space for each other as we grow.
