SUMMARY:Self-Care Saturday: Trauma-Informed Yoga
DESCRIPTION:This accessible class welcomes all\, regardless of experience\, and will focus on breath awareness\, grounding\, and mindful movement. We’ll begin with gentle techniques to settle the nervous system before moving through a dynamic flow with adaptive options for each pose. Throughout the practice\, there will be a continued focus on breath and body awareness to support confidence and connection. Each class will have unique elements while maintaining a familiar structure to encourage growth and ease. The session will end with reflection\, integration\, and rest\, allowing time to acknowledge any physical\, mental\, or emotional shifts. \nWear comfortable clothes and bring your water bottle and yoga mat. \nSessions will be held at the For Her community center every Tuesday and the last Saturday of each month. Friends are always welcome. \nNO Childcare will be offered for this session. \nFacilitator Bio: \nAmanda Millette has been involved in San Antonio’s yoga community for over a decade. Her teaching journey began five years ago\, and she has since gathered over 150 hours of trauma-informed education in yoga. She is passionate about providing yoga under the umbrella of social justice and creating spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all.
