DESCRIPTION:Netsmartz-Parents & Caregivers \nIn this session parents and caregivers will learn more about the Internet Safety curriculum from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The goal of this workshop is to provide both children and parents ways to keep children safe online. \nFacilitator: Felicia Avalos \nFelicia Avalos graduated from Texas A&M-San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science. She worked in the teaching profession for 10 years\, teaching elementary and middle school levels. During her career in education\, she spearheaded projects that helped children learn and grow. She also served as a team lead and advocated for fellow teachers. She later transitioned into the nonprofit sector\, where she is an Education Specialist at ChildSafe. She continues partnering with schools to promote child safety\, trauma-informed practices\, and a better future for all children everywhere.
