DESCRIPTION:Peer support groups\, also called Her Circles\, are led by trained volunteers and/or therapists and consist of 6-12 women coming together to share knowledge and foster deep relationships. Our Her Circles invite women in all stages of life and from diverse backgrounds to find a peer support group that aligns with their journey. \nHer Circle: Wellness \nIn this small group participants will have an opportunity to discuss topics such as depression\, anxiety\, anger\, grief\, stress\, and other topics related to mental health. \nHer Circle: Wellness aims to cultivate an awareness of the fundamental reasons behind our struggles and emotional turmoil. Through sharing lived experiences with others and engaging in various activities participants will reduce symptoms\, learn coping skills\, and help one another experience positive transformation. \nFacilitator: Susan Santillan LPC-S \nSusana holds a BA in Psychology and an MA in Community Counseling. Come out with a friend and enjoy painting this beautiful image “Behind The Scenes.” Have fun painting and meeting new women here in San Antonio with this beginner-friendly class\, where you’ll receive a pre-drawn canvas already prepped for you.  \n \nFacilitator: Ilysha Wyatt \nIlysha Wyatt is a 22-year-old artist from Lancaster\, Pennsylvania. She found art in high school and has been in love ever since. Ilysha uses her art to connect and help others heal in the community through art therapy and painting images that evoke emotions. Ilysha’s passion is to take art further than just putting paint on a canvas.  \nPlease note babysitting will not be provided at this event.
