SUMMARY:#IamRemarkable
DESCRIPTION:#IAmRemarkable is a global movement that helps people\, especially women and underrepresented groups\, feel confident celebrating their achievements at work and in life. Many of us hold back from sharing our successes because of cultural expectations\, imposter syndrome\, or a fear of sounding like we are bragging. In this interactive 90-minute session\, we gently break down those barriers. Grounded in the idea that sharing factual successes is not bragging\, participants reflect on their accomplishments and practice speaking them out loud using the core phrase\, “I am remarkable because…” Attendees leave with real-world habits to speak up for themselves and lift up the people around them.   \nVanessa Vasquez \nVanessa Vasquez is the Founder and Principal Learning Consultant at Cultura Catalyst Consulting\, bringing over 20 years of experience building human-centered leadership programs across FinTech\, defense\, hospitality\, and non-profit sectors. As a Certified #IAmRemarkable Global Initiative Facilitator\, equity fellow\, and active community board chair\, she specializes in bridging human potential with organizational growth. A proud first-generation Mexican American\, Vanessa leverages authentic lived experience and proven  strategies to create psychologically safe environments where individuals build the confidence and self-advocacy skills needed to own their remarkable narrative.

Rooted in the belief that healing happens in community\, this circle offers a safe and welcoming space where moms can come as they are\, be seen and heard\, and know they are not alone. Each session\, moms will gather to engage in guided conversations\, interactive activities\, and communal storytelling. Together\, they will explore real-life topics like identity\, self-care\, parenting dynamics\, financial stability\, and love—always with a focus on honesty\, encouragement\, and sisterhood. \nFacilitators: \nLatisha Pean is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment\, with a deep commitment to supporting mothers as they navigate life’s challenges and reclaim their identity beyond caregiving. As a single mom herself\, she brings authenticity\, empathy\, and lived experience to every space she leads. With a background in career coaching and community support\, Latisha creates environments where women feel seen\, supported\, and equipped to grow—personally\, emotionally\, and professionally. Her work is rooted in the belief that healing and self-sufficiency begin with connection and community. \nAriel Nino-Flores is a Property & Casualty Insurance Agent\, a proud single mom to her 16-year-old daughter\, and a passionate advocate for women. She believes motherhood is one part of a woman’s story\, not the entirety of who she is or what she is capable of becoming. As a facilitator\, Ariel brings warmth\, encouragement\, authenticity\, and plenty of “you’ve got this!” energy to the community. She is intentional about creating a space where single moms feel seen\, supported\, and empowered to dream beyond their circumstances. Ariel reminds women that they don’t have to navigate motherhood alone—and that there is always room to grow\, explore\, and create a life that feels fully their own. \nDuring the group\, moms can expect to: \n\nExperience a sense of belonging and connection through shared stories and lived experiences\nBuild lasting community with other single moms who understand the unique challenges they face\nGain practical tools to navigate everyday stressors and major life transitions\nRediscover their voice and identity beyond motherhood\nCelebrate their resilience\, while learning to extend grace to themselves and others\n\nFriends are always welcome. Snacks\, drinks & childcare are provided. Feel free to bring a dinner with you. \nFor Her Code of Conduct

SUMMARY:Her Table: Parent Cafe (Calm the Stress Down)
DESCRIPTION:For Her is excited to partner with Child Safe for our Parent Cafe Series. Caregivers and their partners are invited to engage in conversations with other parents as we explore how to be more present for our families while also taking the time to take better care of ourselves. \nParent Cafe Series pt 4: Calm the Stress Down \nAt this fourth and last session of this series\, join our conversation to take a “temperature check” of your stress level and learn ways to better recognize and manage your stress level. The holidays can be stressful. If we’re not careful\, our worries can take the joy out of the season. \nFacilitator: Felicia Avalos \nFelicia Avalos graduated from Texas A&M-San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science. She worked in the teaching profession for 10 years\, teaching elementary and middle school levels. During her career in education\, she spearheaded projects that helped children learn and grow. She also served as a team lead and advocated for fellow teachers. She later transitioned into the nonprofit sector\, where she is an Education Specialist at ChildSafe. She continues partnering with schools to promote child safety\, trauma-informed practices\, and a better future for all children everywhere. She remains dedicated to empowering families and strengthening communities through education and advocacy. \nFor Her Code of Conduct
