Friends are always welcome! \nWorkshop Topic: Building Your Financial Resilience: A Roadmap to Empowerment \nMoney stress? We’ve all been there! But building financial resilience doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. In this interactive workshop\, we’ll break it down step by step\, helping you create a personalized roadmap to financial empowerment. From tackling today’s money challenges to planning for your future dreams\, you’ll gain practical tools to take control of your finances with confidence. Let’s take the mystery out of financial planning and build a future that feels secure and abundant! \nIn this workshop\, we’ll create our own personalized “Financial Resilience Plan” by breaking it down into three actionable timeframes—short-term\, medium-term\, and long-term. \n3 Key Takeaways: \n\nShort-Term Action: Develop a concrete strategy to tackle financial challenges like debt management and building an emergency fund. Participants will leave with actionable steps to stabilize their finances immediately.\nMedium-Term Strategy: Learn how to start investing and saving toward life goals using low-risk strategies\, empowering women to grow their wealth while minimizing risk.\nLong-Term Vision: Understand the importance of retirement planning\, legacy building\, and creating a path to financial independence. By taking the first steps early\, women can secure their financial future and leave a lasting legacy.\n\nFacilitators: Lina Rugova and Christine Colburn of Emerge and Rise \nFounded in 2021\, Emerge and Rise™ is a people-centered Entrepreneurial Support Organization (ESO) based in San Antonio. We exist to help underserved founders build businesses that last\, without burning out or doing it all alone. Our work blends business development with social innovation. We focus on real-world solutions: mental health\, digital and financial literacy\, access to capital\, trusted support\, and systems that reduce owner over-reliance. Through our holistic framework\, we help entrepreneurs grow with clarity\, confidence\, and long-term impact\, while contributing to the economic and social vitality of our communities. We’re not just building businesses. We’re reshaping what sustainable entrepreneurship looks like—for the people behind the ideas. \nDinner Provided from Pei Wei \nVegetarian options will be available.

SUMMARY:Journaling Workshop: Planting Seeds of Self-Love
DESCRIPTION:Journaling looks different for all of us: Some may adhere to a traditional diary form\, and some may experiment with such trends as junk journaling and bullet journaling. However you journal\, or whether you do at all\, you are welcome to join us for Planting Seeds of Self-Love\, a class that thoughtfully explores how to integrate long-lasting self-love into our personal journaling practices\, and therefore\, our lives. \n“The main thing\,” poet Grace Paley wrote\, “is when you get up in the morning\, you must take your heart in your two hands.” This two-hour session will create a foundation for “taking [our hearts] in [our] hands” and acknowledging all of the beauty that beats therein. Whether you’ve journaled for years or are just exploring the world of words\, please join this vital time of discovery and reflection\, as we celebrate and sing ourselves in the pages of our journals. You will come away with a guide to continue your practice and to frame your world with words of hope. \nFacilitated by Michelle Grajeda \nMichelle grew up as a bookworm and writer\, eventually studying education at Texas State University\, then literature and creative writing at UTSA. She is a proud public school educator of 30 years\, culminating her career with the Young Women’s Leadership Academy of San Antonio. She now works\, and continues to teach\, at a local\, woman-owned stationery shop called Belle & Union. She still enjoys journaling\, reading novels\, and writing poetry\, as well as taking walks with her husband Frank and their dog Toby.
