DESCRIPTION:For Her Nutrition Series: A 4 part Series \nThe goal of these sessions is to help attendees expand their knowledge of food and nutrition and to “unlearn” common nutrition myths allowing participants to make more informed decisions for their overall health and well-being. An additional goal for these sessions is for attendees to be able to better advocate for themselves in the realm of health and wellness.  \nThis introductory course explores the fundamentals of nutrition and how food choices impact overall health and well-being. \nUpcoming Sessions: \n8/10- Nutrition for Her \n8/24- Nutrition for the Brain \n9/14- Building a Successful Wellness Plan \n  \nFacilitator: Amanda Hughes \nAmanda Hughes is a Registered Dietitian with 15+ years of experience in the food and nutrition industry. Her career spans a diverse range of practice areas\, including food production/development\, community nutrition\, and medical nutrition therapy. She’s passionate about women’s health\, education\, and empowering others to make informed\, sustainable choices. Amanda is dedicated to breaking down nutrition myths and supporting wellness from the inside out. Shaped by her own health challenges\, she has become a strong promoter for self-advocacy and whole-person care. SUMMARY:Trauma Informed Yoga
DESCRIPTION:This accessible class welcomes all\, regardless of experience\, and will focus on breath awareness\, grounding\, and mindful movement. We’ll begin with gentle techniques to settle the nervous system before moving through a dynamic flow with adaptive options for each pose. Throughout the practice\, there will be a continued focus on breath and body awareness to support confidence and connection. Each class will have unique elements while maintaining a familiar structure to encourage growth and ease. The session will end with reflection\, integration\, and rest\, allowing time to acknowledge any physical\, mental\, or emotional shifts. \nWear comfortable clothes and bring your water bottle and yoga mat.  \nSessions will be held at the For Her community center every Tuesday. Friends are always welcome. Free onsite babysitting is provided. \nFacilitator Bio: \nAmanda Millette has been involved in San Antonio’s yoga community for over a decade. Her teaching journey began five years ago\, and she has since gathered over 150 hours of trauma-informed education in yoga. She is passionate about providing yoga under the umbrella of social justice and creating spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all.

We hope to see you then. \nSomatic Dance for Moms & Littles \nA playful somatic dance experience designed for moms and littles to connect\, co-regulate\, and move together through music\, creativity\, and mindful movement—while learning healthy emotional regulation tools and releasing energy in a joyful\, supportive space. \nFacilitator: Brooklyn Lopez \nBrooklyn has dedicated her life to dance\, movement education\, and community empowerment\, beginning her teaching journey at just 12 years old. After training and performing in Los Angeles\, she returned to focus on bringing movement into communities that need it most. Through Inside Art Movement\, she creates trauma-informed dance and movement experiences designed to build confidence\, connection\, healing\, and self-expression. Her work includes developing programs for at-risk youth\, low-income communities\, and women’s shelters\, with a strong belief in movement as a tool for emotional wellness\, empowerment\, and human connection. \nFor Her Code of Conduct
