Her Table: Play with Sanseria Murray & Gabrielle Gonzales
Her Table is a shared meal that provides an opportunity for women to connect over good food and meaningful conversation.
Sanseria and Gabby are so excited to share a space for celebration, joy, creation, individual and group play with the For Her community. On May 3rd, we’ll explore the topic of play- redefining joy and allowing our inner child to create.
Play as an act of love.
Play as an act of self care.
Play as an act of resistance.
Play as an embodied practice.
In this session, we will:
Open with a Circle for introductions and intentional check-ins
Begin with a warm-up
We will move into guided activities
We will have time for intentional creation
Followed by reflections and group shares
As always, dinner, babysitting, and all materials will be provided.
Facilitator Bios:
Gabrielle D’Ann Gonzales (She/Her/Ella)- Living and working with a radical love ethic, Gabrielle holds the belief that every living being has a story to tell, and acknowledges the sacred power of storytelling. She acts with a deep commitment to honoring the wisdom and complexities of all beings. Each community, personal, and professional role she plays is informed by transformative and restorative justice practices. Living with the intention to dismantle systems of harm and oppression in order to create safe spaces for love to thrive. Gabrielle has a deep commitment to community led work and orchestrating spaces for creativity, healing, love and joy. Engaging all relations involved in this intimate process of co-creation for our collective liberation.
Sanseria Murray (She/Her/They/Them) is an accomplished poet, playwright, director, Shakespeare enthusiast, lover of dark chocolate and fighter for equity and freedom. A life long learner and an educator with over 25 years of teaching experience. Sanseria is proud to serve the community in the city she grew up in for the last ten years. In the summer of 2021, Sanseria published her first book Morning Star Rising: a book of poetry. Currently, Sanseria leads creative writing workshops and has a theatre coaching company which includes a mentorship training program for youth.
