Her Table: Talk Saves Lives with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Her Table is a shared meal that provides an opportunity for women to connect over good food and meaningful conversation.

On June 7th, For Her will host the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for their workshop Talk Saves Lives. We’ll talk about what we know about this leading cause of death, the most up-to-date research on prevention, and what we can all do to fight suicide. Community members will learn the common risk factors for suicide, how to spot the warning signs in others, and how to keep ourselves, our loved ones, and those in our community safe.

Our presenters are Julia Hewitt, the Board Chair for the South Texas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and Art Lopez, the Education Chair for the South Texas Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

As always, dinner, babysitting, and all materials will be provided.
