Workshop Topic: Investing Basics

Join For Her and Capital Group for a workshop on the fundamentals of investing, explaining key terms and principles that are essential for understanding how investments work. From types of investments and strategies to risk and return, we’ll talk about financial goals and explore how different investment options can help achieve those goals. Whether you’re brand new to investing or have already dabbled in the financial markets, you’ll leave equipped with the knowledge to start making informed investment decisions.

Facilitator: Capital Group

We’re honored to have Charline Webb, Olivia Perez, and Sally Holte from Capital Group join us to facilitate this Her Table! With nearly 50 years of finance experience between them, our facilitators are eager to share their knowledge and expertise with the For Her community, demystifying investment for the rest of us.

Charline Webb is a lead Risk Management and Control Analyst at
American Funds. For the past 18 years at American Funds, she has
served in multiple roles including Sales Representative, Sr. Payment
Administrator and Compliance Specialist. Charline grew up in New
Hampshire where she graduated St. Anselm College with a bachelor’s
degree. Prior to working in the financial industry, Charline spent 8 years
in hotel management and later shifted careers and spent 9 years as a
litigation paralegal. Throughout Charline’s career, she has taken
leadership roles volunteering in the community. She is the leader of the
Women’s Community at Capital Group in San Antonio. She has served
as the Governance Chair on the board for local non-profit Room Redux.
She is currently serving on the programming committee of For Her.

Olivia Perez is currently a Learning Experience Designer at American
Funds. For the past 10 years at American Funds, she has served in
multiple roles including Client Services Representative, Advisor
Marketing, and National Accounts Administrative Assistant. Olivia
attained her bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M San Antonio.Throughout Olivia’s career journey she has taken active roles
volunteering in DE&I communities. She was Outreach Pillar lead and
SIFMA Lead for CG Unidos and communication coordinator of the NACG
Women’s Community in San Antonio. Olivia is based in San Antonio,
TX.

Sally Holte is a Divisional Retirement Plan Counselor with Capital
Group covering Texas, Kansas and Louisiana. She has 18 years of
financial industry experience and has been with Capital for 16 years. She
started her career with Shareholder Services and the Advisor Marketing
team. She’s held several roles with our Sales Distribution team as a
Defined Contribution Retirement Consultant, Internal Wealth Specialist
covering South Florida and Orlando and later worked as a Retirement
Plan Sales Consultant covering Minnesota, Nebraska, and San
Francisco. Most recently Sally worked closely with our Sales Force
Development team as a Sales Coach and with the Southeast Division as
a Site Sales Division Manager. Before joining Capital Group, Sally was a
Financial Coach at Citigroup. She’s based in San Antonio, TX.
