Growing Forward Workshop with Kay Hill: Practical Strategies to Organize Your Goals, Nurture Balance, and Thrive

January 15 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Free

Growing Forward is a three-part, hands-on workshop series designed to help women bring clarity, balance, and structure to their personal and professional lives. Using simple program management strategies, Agile practices, and visual tools, participants will learn how to organize their goals and take confident, steady steps toward what matters most.

By the end of the series, participants will have:

  • Greater clarity and focus by seeing their goals and commitments clearly organized across different areas of life
  • Improved understanding of time management and work-life balance
  • A community of like-minded women. Engaging in shared learning reminds us that growth and organization are community-supported journeys, not solo efforts!

January 15: Planting the Seeds – Foundations of Program Management

Learn to move beyond scattered to-do lists by organizing your life into clear “programs” like career, health, and relationships, each containing specific projects. Using simple prioritization tools like the Eisenhower Matrix, you’ll build a Life Program Inventory that helps you see all your commitments at once and focus on what truly matters without feeling overwhelmed.

Workshops are open to all, and friends are welcome. We provide free on-site childcare, snacks, and drinks. Feel free to bring your own dinner if you’d like.

Save the dates for future Growing Forward workshops!

  • January 29: Tending the Garden – Agile Practices for Personal Growth. Discover how to break big, intimidating goals into manageable “personal sprints” using Agile principles of iteration and adaptability. You’ll learn to plan focused work periods, practice simple self-reflection techniques, and build flexibility into your approach so you can adjust as life changes while still making steady progress.
  • February 5: Thriving in Flow – Kanban for Daily Balance. Master the art of visualizing your tasks with Kanban boards that move work from “To Do” to “In Progress” to “Done,” creating a clear sense of accomplishment and flow. By applying Work in Progress (WIP) limits, you’ll learn to avoid overcommitment and burnout while setting up a personal Kanban system you can use immediately to manage your daily life.
