Her Table: Art Therapy with Kimberly Nguyen, LPC
Her Table is a shared meal that provides an opportunity for women to connect over good food and meaningful conversation. Dinner, babysitting, and all materials will be provided. Friends are always welcome!
Workshop Topic
Discover the healing power of creative expression through junk journaling in this art therapy workshop. Using repurposed papers, found objects, and mixed media, you’ll create a personal journal that reflects your inner world. No art experience is needed- just a willingness to explore, play, and reflect in a supportive space. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring personal scraps or mementos that hold meaning for you.
Facilitator: Kimberly Nguyen, LPC, ATR-BC
Kimberly Nguyen is an adult child of refugees, an artist, and an art therapist. Her journey with art therapy began when she used art to understand her experience of being raised by parents who are survivors of the Vietnam War. She is a licensed professional counselor in Texas (LPC) and a Board-Certified Art Therapist. Her focus as a therapist is on understanding the impact of historical and intergenerational trauma on people’s well-being.
