Workshop Topic: Beauty Within the Cracks

Join For Her for this workshop celebrating the beauty of imperfection and the concept of finding beauty in brokenness. During this workshop participants will engage in activities mirroring the Japanese art of Kintsugi, including acknowledging past hurts, creating a collage, and brainstorming ways to transform challenges into strengths. Attendees will have the chance to create art and join a journaling activity inspired by Kintsugi, reflecting on their healing journey. This session will foster a supportive environment for participants to share insights and personal experience, focusing on healing, strength, and purpose.

We’re honored to have Jennipha “Jae” Ricks facilitate this Her Table! Jae is an educational leader and innovator, currently serving as the Founding Deputy Superintendent and Founding Chief Learning Officer at Essence Prep Public School. She is also the Founder & CEO of Jae Elle Consulting, LLC, which focuses on the education, leadership, and empowerment of women, and Elluvation, which focuses on educational consulting and strategic planning. Jae previously served on the Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women and sits on the board of the African American Chamber of Commerce. She is also an author, dedicated mother, daughter, and friend.
